I had a nightmare a few days ago.

night·mare (nīt'mâr')
An event or experience that is intensely distressing.

It happened in front of my eyes. I saw a book. I picked it up. However, the next scene was truly horrifying. I saw creases on the spine of my book!!!!

Pissed, I was.

Woke up with a smile, it was just a dream. Go ahead and laugh.
One thing I cannot stand would be the lines on the book binds. It is caused when someone opens a book too wide. Pet peeve is a better word to describe this annoyance of mine.

Why does this piss me off?
I do not know. Its like damaging knowledge.

Sense, it does not make.

I want it to be perfect as it was. Freshly baked. People would definitely buy it from me. But I have never sold my books. I only own seven out of about fifty at home. I warned my sisters about it. I even taught one of them how to open and hold the book with care. But lo and behold! They appear magically.

If you read my book and there are creases, it is okay. I would be pissed but not for long. Just think it as a mark you are leaving behind. Every time I look at it, you would appear in my heart (with flames of rage).

I have a confession to make. I do create some creases myself. On others. It weighs in on my mood. If there are a million creases on a book. I jolly-well damage it even further. If there only a couple of it, I would take good care of it.

My Angels and Demons (Dan Brown) and Audacity of Hope (Barack Obama) are crease-free. Anyone willing to adopt them?
